Early symptoms of oil pump damage：
1. The engine makes a harsh noise. 2. The engine fault lamp is turned on. 3. The exhaust pipe emits a lot of black smoke. 4. Hydraulic gauge shows low pressure. 5. Engine jitter is serious. 6. It is difficult to start, and it takes a long time to turn the key for your car.
If the oil pump fails, the oil in the oil pan will not be transported to the oil pipelines, resulting in the cylinder can not be lubricated, which will accelerate engine damage. Therefore, when you find that your car has the above faults, please check the oil pump is working properly, repair and replace the oil pump in time.
Step 1: Install The Oil Pump.
To install the pump position it and the drive shaft extension.Engage the drive shaft extension into the drive gear. Then install the pump-to-rear bearing cap bolt and tighten to spec.
Step 2: Install the oil pan.
Clean the oil pan and install a new gasket. Then, mount the pan to the engine, install the bolts and tighten the to spec.
Step 3: Fill the engine with oil.
Make sure the drain plug is tight and refill the engine with oil.
Step 4: Remove the jack stands.
Jack up the vehicle in the same location as before. Remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle.
